It's a beautiful (but hot) morning and I've been meditating on God's Word. What a way to start the day! Actually for me...it's the ONLY way to begin the day. With the Word, Holy Spirit, and some worship music...my day is often laid out by Him. For me there is no other way to greet the day.
I'll have to say that I don't know why some things happen. Some things we can explain, some we think we can explain (but really can't), and some things we simply admit we cannot explain. But there is one truth that doesn't need an explanation. It simply must believed. That truth is...Jesus is with us. Let me put it another way...Jesus is with you. Those who put their trust in Him know this for certain. I know this too! I can't always explain the "why's" of what happens? Not all the time. But I am certain of one thing...God is with me! The psalmist said, "For the Lord will not abandon His people, nor will He forsake His inheritance." (Psalm 94:14). Jesus said, "I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:20)
Perhaps you are going through a difficult time. Now is the time to call upon Him. Now is the time to cry out to Him. Why? Because He is with you. He is very near to you...right now! Listen again to the words of the psalmist quoting God, "He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him." (Psalm 91:15)
Life itself will throw you all sorts of curves. However, the Giver of Life will never leave or forsake you. He knows exactly where you are, exactly what you are experiencing, and exactly what you need. Our part is to trust in Him with everything we have. If we truly know and trust in Him, we know this life is a very tiny part of the eternity He has called us to walk with Him through. No matter what we experience, He will always walk with us through it. And finally Paul said, "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13) Call upon Him now as you trust in His unfailing promise to be with you through it all!
