Will The World End This Saturday At 6pm?

According to Harold Camping and the Family Radio organization, at 6pm this Saturday, a violent earthquake will strike, marking the beginning of Judgment Day. The description on the Family Radio website explained, "On May 21st, Judgment Day will begin and the rapture (the taking up into heaven of God's elect people) will occur..."  What do you think?  Will it or won't it all end this Saturday?

Listen to what the Bible says about it.  (Matthew 24:36), "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone."  Jesus made it clear that NO ONE but God the Father knows the exact day and hour Jesus will return.  Could Jesus return this Saturday, at 6pm? I don't think so, but I don't know so for sure - NO ONE knows for sure.  I personally think the church has a lot more to do.  The truth is we also need to consider something else said concerning His return.  (Luke 12:40), "You too, be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour that you do not expect."  No one but God knows the day and hour, but whenever that is - according to Jesus it will be on a day and at an hour that we do not expect!  Even though we do not know the day and hour, let's don't be so sure that we think we know exactly when He is NOT coming that we're taken by surprise when He does come!  After all, none of us can guarantee our next breath and heartbeat.  (Matthew 24:37-39), "For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah.  For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be."

Bottom line.  If we are dressed in readiness...whenever He comes...we won't miss it!  The worst thing we can do is think He's NOT coming simply because we are not ready.  Will the world end this Saturday at 6 pm?  I don't think so.  But that is not the pertinent question.  The pertinent question is - Are you ready now?  By the way, Harold Camping previously predicted Judgment Day as being in 1994!
