I remember reading in the Word over the years about how amazed people were over the way Jesus taught. (Matt. 7:28-29), "When Jesus had finished these words, the crowds were amazed at His teaching; for He was teaching them as one having authority, and not as their scribes." Apparently the crowds had heard lots of teaching, but never with authority. The scribes of the day were teachers of the Law. However, the teaching they provided was not fueled by Godly authority. What is the difference?
I happen to be one of those people who simply loves the morning. I've always been a "morning person". It's morning as I write this post. The morning marks the beginning of a fresh, new day. I can hear the birds singing outside as they share the excitement of this new day. The early morning not only marks the beginning of a new day, but reminds me of new beginnings in general. Life is full of new beginnings as God's grace is lavished upon mankind. Lamentations 3: 22 - 23 says, "The Lord's lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning..."
